Moorpark Symphony Orchestra
Established by Conductor James Song in 1990, MSO has grown from a few interested enthusiasts to nearly 90 dedicated musicians. Its membership consists of professional musicians and community members.
As a non-profit, artistic organization, the mission of the Moorpark Symphony Orchestra is to provide high quality, affordable musical performances that delight our audiences. Our objective is to inspire, entertain, and serve our community one note at a time.
It is with a heavy heart, that the MSO must announce that the Fall 2020 Concert Season has been canceled amid the ever evolving COVID-19 restrictions.
Announcements regarding the Spring 2021 Season will come at a later date. Please check back periodically for those updates.
The Moorpark Symphony Orchestra cares deeply about the health and well-being of our musicians & the community we serve, and we remain committed to making decisions based on the most careful consideration of your safety.
We are closely monitoring the situation and following the recommendations set by State and Federal agencies, and will always adhere to their guidelines as the crisis progresses.
We have a beautiful new logo, designed by Board Member and Head of Marketing, Andy Siditsky. The graphic of the Apricot (iconic crop of Moorpark, CA) sprouting from a G-Clef, represents an instant and natural connection with the city and Ventura County.
Our new logo represents all musicians in the orchestra, our positive energy and enthusiasm, our strong spirit as an organization, and especially our friendship through the arts. You can see it here in the newsletter, on our website, and across all social media platforms.
