Moorpark Symphony Orchestra

Established in 1990, MSO is a community orchestra that has grown from a few interested enthusiasts to nearly 90 dedicated musicians. Its membership consists of talented volunteer musicians including professional musicians and community members. ​

Mission Statement:

As a non-profit, artistic organization, the mission of the Moorpark Symphony Orchestra is to provide high quality, affordable musical performances that delight our audiences. Our objective is to inspire, entertain, and serve our community one note at a time.

Composed by Stephen W. Burch for the MSO, "Moorpark Suite” is a unique, original orchestral composition supported by multi-media video and celebrates the rich history of Moorpark, California, and the surrounding area.  This MSO performance is conducted by the composer, Stephen W. Burch, at the world premiere on May 27th, 2022. The archival video accompanying this performance features materials courtesy of the Moorpark Historical Society. Andy Siditsky produced the performance video. The narration was provided by Mike Winters, President of Moorpark Historical Society.

Charles Fernandez named Music Director

It is with great pleasure that we can announce Charles "Chuck" Fernandez has been named Music Director and Conductor for the 2022-23 season.

Charles Fernandez is an Emmy and Annie nominated, award winning composer, orchestrator, conductor, teacher and bassoonist.
